Burned buying firewood that won’t burn? We can dry it!Dry My Wood™ is a corrective service for homeowners who purchased firewood advertised as “seasoned” but is actually green. Burning unseasoned wood is dangerous, causing creosote buildup, chimney fires, smoke hazards, and serious safety risks.
Selling green wood as seasoned is illegal, but it still happens. Our kiln-drying service makes your wood safe, efficient, and burn-ready — fast, professional, and complete with free stacking after delivery.
Eligibility
Service is available only to residential households that have recently purchased unseasoned firewood advertised as seasoned
Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) is required
Each household is limited to one use.
Emergency assistance for home-split wood: We may offer help if homeowners split their own wood but it didn’t dry in time. Proof of splitting and storage may be requested
Wood Condition
Only fresh, unseasoned wood is eligible for Dry My Wood™. Rotted, moldy, or otherwise damaged wood cannot be accepted for kiln drying. Wood must be split and stored by the homeowner.
Service Rules & Pricing
Kiln-drying service: $250 per 1/3 cord
Delivery and pick-up fees: Based on county and adjusted at checkout. Only charged once.
Includes free stacking of your wood after drying (a $50 per 1/3 cord value)
Dry My Wood™ reserves the right to decline service for unverifiable wood, repeated requests, or suspected commercial abuse
Expected Timeline ⏱
Pick-up: up to 5 business days
Kiln drying: 3–5 days, depending on original moisture content
Delivery: up to 5 business days after kiln dried
Kiln-Drying Process & Moisture Verification
Your green firewood is kiln dried at 160°F for 3–5 days, exceeding standard heat-treatment requirements. Our kiln is equipped with integrated core temperature and humidity sensors, continuously monitoring conditions throughout the drying cycle to ensure consistent, controlled results.
At the completion of the kiln-drying process, your wood is brought to safe, burn-ready moisture levels to reduce creosote risk and ensure a clean, efficient fire.

Dry My Wood™ – Terms & Conditions
1. Service Eligibility

Service is available only to residential customers who purchased firewood advertised as seasoned but received unseasoned wood.

Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) is required.

Each household is limited to one service use.
2. Wood Requirements

Wood must be recently purchased split, unseasoned and not rotted.

Wood must be stored in a location accessible for safe loading.
3. Service Limitations

Dry My Wood™ may refuse service at any stage if wood condition is unacceptable, unsafe, or inconsistent with eligibility.

Wood loads suspected of commercial resale, abuse, or repeated submissions may be declined.

Moisture content after drying varies by species, size, and original moisture level.
4. Pickup & Delivery Requirements

Customer must ensure a safe, accessible pickup area for loading and unloading.

Customer is responsible for removing any obstacles or hazards at the time of pickup and delivery.

If the delivery location is unsafe or inaccessible, delivery may be postponed or cancelled.
5. Moisture Levels & Drying Results

Wood is kiln-dried at 160°F for 3–5 days under continuous monitored temperature and humidity controls.

The Firewood Co. does not guarantee a specific numerical moisture percentage.

Finished wood will be brought to safe, burn-ready moisture levels, significantly lower than when received.
6. Damage & Liability

The Firewood Co. is not responsible for:

Damage caused before the service (e.g., smoke damage or creosote build up from burning green wood)

Mold, insects, or decay present before pickup
-
Losses resulting from delays due to weather, equipment, or scheduling

7. Payment & Refunds

Full payment is required at the time of scheduling.

If wood is declined upon inspection (rotted, moldy, etc.), the drying fee may be refunded, but pickup/delivery fees may not.

Once the wood has entered the kiln, the service is non-refundable.
8. Customer Agreement
By purchasing Dry My Wood™, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms listed above.
